2 Step Sparring

Attacker - always starts right leg back, L stance forearm guarding block

1 - 3. Defence - Step back with right leg and perform the following

Counter - Back hand (left) flat fingertip thrust to the philtrum (below nose)


Number 2

Rear leg mid section side kick

Right leg back L stance palm downward block

L Stance punch

Left leg back L Stance, reverse knifehand (outward) block (with right hand palm facing towards you)

Counter - right leg snap, step left leg forward into rear foot stance (grab wrist with right hand) palm upward block with left hand to break the elbow.  As in Joong Gun


Number 3

Attack Defence

L Stance inward knifehand strike (right hand - outer)

Right leg back L stance knifehand block

Rear leg back kick

Left leg slide back (out of the way) L stance knifehand guard

Counter - Jumps into X-stance (left in front of right - to right of attacker’s front foot) backfist strike with left hand



4 - 6. Defence - Step back with left leg and perform the following

Counter - Grab shoulders, back leg knee to solar plexus and recover back into L stance forearm guarding block (right leg back)

Reverse side kick

Right leg back L Stance, palm waist block

Counter - Reverse turning kick middle or high (step left foot to the right a little before kick) and land right foot then left leg back forearm guard L stance

Number 6

Rear leg turning kick

Left leg back, sitting stance W shaped block

Walking stance flat fingertip thrust

Right leg back walking stance, X-fist rising block

Counter - Stamp left leg further forward walking stance twin upset punch, lead leg pressing kick to opponent’s knee, land foot to foot right leg reverse side kick (standing or jumping) , land foot to foot end left leg back L stance guarding block (to left)
